I kindly request a consultation: on a PC I have Skatter 1.4.7 mounted on SketchUp 2017 vers.17.2.2555. I am trying to create a lemon orchard under a wooden pergola, so I need to copy the lemon plant many times along a row. The plan has been simplified with trasmutr and then processed with the VRay proxy. In doing so I can’t get the repetition of the plant with skatter. The computer goes to sleep. Can I send you the file? Could you suggest me a solution to this problem?

When does the computer freezes exactly?

Is it:

  1. when hovering the mouse to select a host?
  2. when clicking to pick the host?
  3. when clicking “Generate”?

Thanks for the file via email. I can reproduce the issue.
It seems to be related to Skatter trying to scan another group that has too much geometry. I’ll look into why it freezes.

As a workaround, you can temporarily hide everything except the lines host group, just the time for picking it from Skatter.
