Trouble getting Points Sets to work

I have a few trees that need to be accurately located and have been trying to use a point set in order to achieve this. The problem I am having is that I do not seem to be able to select any points. I select the points set button in the ‘hosts’ section and the ‘pick points’ button appears and is highlighted but whenever I click to pick a point nothing happens.

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Yes the “Points Sets” feature is broken in version 1.0.2
I’m working on a fix, but in the meantime you can revert to v1.0.1 :
