Can not use the library

Hello Thomas and Ronen.
I purchased the product a year ago and I can not use the local library.
When I click on one of the options it does not have any response.
Please help me I really want to benefit from Skatter
Thanks

Did you try reinstalling Skatter?
Are you using the latest version? (http://download.getskatter.com/)

Also, try this:

  • Open Sketchup
  • Open the Ruby Console (Menu Window > Ruby Console)
  • Try using the library again, and tell me if anything appears in the Ruby console while you do (copy/paste here)

Thomas

Hello Thomas I add a picture like you ask me to.

Thanks.
Now, please copy/paste this in the Ruby Console, then hit enters, and tell me what appears.
puts ENV['PROGRAMDATA'].to_s; puts ENV['APPDATA'].to_s

Please try to install this version : https://d2t08l5uidncyv.cloudfront.net/skatter_1.1.3_setup.exe

Not working man.

Try to replace this file : http://download.getskatter.com/library.rb
in C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins\jbb_skatter\rb

If it still doesn’t work, please to this again (just to check if the error is still the same) :
– Open Sketchup
– Open the Ruby Console (Menu Window > Ruby Console)
– Try using the library again, and tell me if anything appears in the Ruby console while you do (copy/paste here)

Hi Thomas thank man for keep trying to help.

The library still doesn’t work and noting writing in the Ruby Console after I copy the library.rb file.

Nothing at all? Even when the Ruby console is opened before the first time you interact with Skatter?

I’m away for a few days, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

This what was showing when I open Ruby before I use Skatter.
Thanks man hope to hear from you soon!

Please try this one : http://download.getskatter.com/library.rb (make sure it is not renamed when you download it)
in C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins\jbb_skatter\rb

And tell me what appears in the ruby console (please copy/paste the whole log, it may not fit in a single screenshot)

Hi Thomas

What does this one outputs? http://download.getskatter.com/library.rb

Make sure that the file is actually replaced in the target folder.

Thanks, I think I see the issue.

Please send me the files you have in “C:\Users\Alon Pc\AppData\Roaming\Skatter\Library\Custom”
[email protected]

some of it is written in Heberw

To anyone having the same issue : It has been fixed, and the fix will be released in the next version.
It was caused by special characters (here Hebrew) in the .sklib files names.
