DWG 3D Support

Hi,

Is there a chance to see a DWG 3D support at some point in the future ?
Fbx and other format are nice, but they don’t support layers. Exchanging between Revit and SU is efficient with this format, as Layers are kept.

So, if Transmutr could do it, it will be easier to transfer heavy Revit geometry to SU without losing Layers informations.

Sorry, but we have no plan to support DWG anytime soon. The framework we use to import files in Transmutr (before converting them to skp) does not support DWG, so it makes it very difficult to do so for us.

Thanks for the reply. It’s a bit sad, but, well, if it’s not possible…

I just noticed this post just now. You could import DWG into SKP, which would retain the layers. From SketchUP, export to FBX as per your current workflow.
Even AutoCAD no longer has an FBX exporter in its current versions.
