Maintaining hard edges on parts


I just purchased Transmutr and I’m trying to simplify some models of our industrial plants. The problem is that all hard edged parts turn into blobby shapes when I try to reduce the compexity? What is happening is that a flange which is a round piece of thick metal with bolts holding it to another one, is turning into a melted looking flange. Do I have to explode all objects first before reducing the complexity?

There’s currently no option to specifically preserve angles during the simplification process.

There’s a “Preserve UV seams” option that might be useful if your models are textured and seams are placed appropriately though.

No, we have no plan to add STEP as an import format.
