As I’m working, I realize it would be nice to visualize the size of the brush live (for paint mask) within the model as you change it (of course, that would mean at a different scale when you zoom in and out).
It is not a must, but a cool addition

I agree that it would be better. The first prototype of the UI that changes the radius aimed to work like this.
Unfortunately, due to technical limitations from SketchUp it’s actually more difficult to implement such an effect than it should be 
(it’s due to the way SketchUp manages focus between its different windows and when it chooses to update its viewport or not).
