**SketchUp version :Pro 2018
Skatter version (Skatter dialog > Options > About) : 1.4.12
OS : Windows 10
**Description of the issue : I am currently on the trial version of scatter and whilst I like the product, am having some issues. I am trying to scatter models of trees which are components with other nested components inside them. When scattered & rendered ((Vray) in render only mode) the trees are exploded and sprayed across the site so the leaves are floating in the air. I’ve noticed that if you explode everything inside the primary component it works… however this is not viable with trees as they are too complex. Question is, does scatter only work with simple components that have no nested elements…
Are you able to reproduce the issue every time? (If yes, how?) : Yes
Error in Ruby Console? (Window > Ruby Console) : No
Hi,
This is actually a V-Ray issue, it’s not caused by Skatter. It works fine in other rendering engines.
I thought Chaos Group fixed this issue in a recent V-Ray version. What version are you using?
Thanks! I’ve just updated my version of Vray & it appears to be working
