Skatter 2.1.5
Sketchup 22.0.353
OSX 11.6
Hi There, I have a new version of Sketchup and just installed Skatter. It won’t load inside of Sketchup.
Please could you help me to fix this?
The error message is:
Unable to load Skatter: dlopen(/users/a-/library/application support/sketchup 2022/sketchup/plugins/skatter/core/Skatter.bundle, 9): no suitable image found. Did find:
/users/a-/library/application support/sketchup 2022/sketchup/plugins/skatter/core/Skatter.bundle: mach-o, but wrong architecture

After hitting “confirm” on the message above. Ruby console lists the following:
2022/sketchup/plugins/skatter/src/menu.rbe:46:in do_if_ready' /users/a-/library/application support/sketchup 2022/sketchup/plugins/skatter/src/menu.rbe:74:in

Hi @Skatter_nt
Are you using a recent Mac computer with a M1 processor? The error message indicates that it could be the case.
If so, Skatter does not support this architecture yet (see the latest release notes ).
It should work on older versions of SketchUp though (2021 and older).
We don’t have an ETA yet for supporting Mac M1.
Thanks Merwan, copy this. Yes I am using an M1.
So you think that a 2021 version of Sketchup should be able to run Skatter on the same M1 machine?

Yes, it should work on SketchUp 2021. We have several users who switched back to 2021 and it seemed to work.

Hi @oxer
Unfortunately, it seems that this error happens because your version of MacOS is too old: the minimum supported version is MacOS 10.15 (see Skatter’s software requirements ).
