I’ve very successfully used the reduced mesh proxy option but I recently ran into a small problem.
I was transmuting some trees that obviously have nearly all their poly’s in the crown and very little in the trunk, as a result the reduced mesh proxy had none or nearly none of its 1000 vertex’s in the trunk and as a result the SU proxy component didn’t touch the ground. Upping the 1000 to 2000, 3000, 4000 etc didn’t help as whilst it added additional definition/size to the proxy very little went on the trunk.
My suggestion:
Have Transmutr place a small cross at the proxy’s origin, I’d make positioning the proxy in SU a lot easier and ensure the extents of the full geometry model was represented in the proxy.
