I have Soften coplanar edges on and I just had a thought about having a feature that runs soften/smooth on a file that’s being exported to SketchUp. Is this possible to help smooth tree trunks and leaves on a plant or tree file?
Do you mean something similar to SketchUp’s ‘Soften Edges’ feature? You’d input an angle an anything below that would be smoothed?
Exactly. That way you open the model and most of the edges have been smoothed already. I have used another OBJ importer that does this very thing.
