Use areas on point sets

Im wondering how i can use areas to be excluded when we use point set as skatter groups. When i use a area i can choose a different area to be excluded. But when i use a point set this doesnt seem to work or affect this set.

This is actually by design.
Points Sets are specific locations you pick in the model, so I figured you want objects there no matter what. Therefor, they are not affected by areas.
But I could add an option for that, would it be ok for you?

aha, well if its by design i understand. Do think it could be handy yes.
