I transferred my FBX file to Transmutr 1.2.13 software and it automatically created a SketchUp file in .skp format, but I don’t know what version of SketchUp it is!

I want to send my 3D model to my client on 3dmaxfarsi and he asks me exactly what version of SketchUp he should use to open my file!

With Transmutr 1.2.13, the SketchUp files it creates (when you export/convert to .skp) are in the SketchUp 2021+ format. This means the .skp files it generates use the newer file format that SketchUp introduced starting around 2021 so that it can preserve updated features like PBR materials used in SketchUp 2025.

So in short:

  • Exported SketchUp format: SketchUp 2021 and later
    Transmutr 1.2.13 generates .skp files in that format (not older legacy SKP versions).

If you need to open the exported SKP file in an older version of SketchUp (pre-2021), you’d likely need to use SketchUp itself to save down to older formats (if supported by that version) or use another.
